Dallastown
Area Middle School offers an extensive range of Gifted Support Services
to its identified gifted students. Programming and planning are
developed through a GIEP. Needs of gifted students are met by tailoring
individual programming components such as compacting, pacing, and
independent learning contracts. Group programming
components such as small seminar classes in a resource room and/or
collaborative teaching in the regular classroom are important components.
Our Seminar
Program continues to evolve in response to the diverse expressions
of talents within our students. Our search for appropriate educational
experiences that nurture their possibilities drives our purpose and
planning. Our goal is to promote high expectations, rigorous standards,
and greater engagement with subject matter-- enabling each student to
imagine and to realize their unique abilities.
